Christine has contributed to multiple human risk assessments including ED assessments, investigative mode of action work and regulatory submissions demonstrating safety and regulatory compliance for EU active substance approvals, renewals, CLH and zonal product registrations. Christine joined Belchim Crop Protection NV/SA in 2011 as a registration manager for Germany/Austria. In this role she was responsible for the preparation, submission and follow up of zonal or national agrichemical product registrations, including definition of submission strategies, dossier compilation and national addenda. During her career with Belchim, Christine took on the additional role of EU toxicology expert with responsibility for the development of toxicological testing strategies, ED assessments, CRO selection, study monitoring, preparation of technical responses to EFSA and Member State authorities and dossier writing. Latterly, she was appointed as toxicology expert group coordinator with responsibility for the coordination and overall output of the toxicology expert group.

Before moving to the agrichemical industry, Christine worked as a regulatory affairs manager, medical writer and clinical research associate for a pharmaceutical CRO in Germany providing clinical trial management services and early product development support. She combined this professional role with a simultaneous doctorate at Hannover Medical School for developing novel gene therapy options via retroviral protein transfer and completed the international PhD Program “Regenerative Sciences” of the Cluster of Excellence REBIRTH. This research resulted in a summa cum laude PhD awarded in 2011, five publications in peer-reviewed journals and poster or oral presentations on international scientific conferences. Prior to this, Christine graduated from the University of Hannover with a Degree in Biochemistry, with research stays at the University of Michigan (USA) and the Max Planck Institute of Experimental Endocrinology (Germany).
