With particular strengths in toxicology consulting, human exposure and risk assessment as well as ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment, our aim is to support our clients in achieving regulatory compliance for their agrochemical, pharmaceutical, biocide or general chemical products.
Our Technical Services
General toxicology
RSA consultants bring significant toxicological expertise to client projects, based on decades of experience gained from industry. We offer support across all areas of toxicology.
Specialist toxicology
Our consultants have in-depth expertise in specific areas of toxicology including DART, genotoxicity, mechanistic toxicology, inhalation toxicology and mode of action (MoA) analysis.
Carcinogenicity
Our consultants have experience in the design and monitoring of carcinogenicity studies across all regulated sectors. We also offer specialist input into the interpretation of study findings including pathology review, mode of action (MoA) analysis and human relevance assessment.
Endocrine disruptor potential
The assessment of endocrine disruptor (ED) potential is a key area under pesticide and biocide legislation, and more recently under REACH and CLP. RSA routinely assists clients in this area from vulnerability assessment through to data evaluation and assessment to ECHA/EFSA Guidance.
Dermal Absorption
Dermal absorption is a key aspect of non-dietary exposure assessment for pesticide and biocide products. Using extensive expertise gained from performing dermal absorption studies in CROs and interpreting study results according to EFSA guidance, RSA specialists assist clients with dermal absorption study design, monitoring and interpretation.
Metabolism and kinetics
RSA specialists have extensive expertise in metabolism and kinetics from the pharmaceutical and agrochemical industries. We can help with the design of studies and interpretation of data to elucidate the toxicokinetic properties of your molecule. We also use this expertise to provide theoretical toxicokinetic (TK) assessment for REACH clients.
QSAR Evaluation
RSA specialists have experience in performing and interpreting QSAR predictions of toxicological properties in areas including impurity assessment, residue definition and to support read-across proposals.
Pathology
RSA has significant expertise in pathology gained from the pharmaceutical and agrochemical sectors. We offer services including advice on the interpretation of findings, pathology review, and in running Pathology Working Groups (PWGs).
Operator exposure
RSA specialists have specific expertise in the assessment of non-dietary exposure for pesticide and biocide products, using the latest guidance, models and refinement options.
